Women’s Truth Witness for the Prosecution, US 1958
摘要
The psychoanalytical examination of the film deals with the deeper conscious and unconscious conflicts surrounding Justizia, in whose space it is set. The story first follows the opposing images of masculinity of Sir Wilfried and Vole, showing how truth is at the service of one’s own needs. These in turn have to do with the feminine, of which Christine is the central representative. Her multi-layered facets, which trigger shimmering and contradictory feelings in the protagonists in the film as well as in the viewers, are explored.
