Value Stream Analysis

Value stream analysis is a methodology for representing the current state of an entire value creation process in a drawing and constitutes an essential part of the Lean methodology. All collected information is represented using a clearly defined value stream symbolism. In addition, key figures are calculated that serve to evaluate the current state. The goal of value stream analysis is to represent the entire information and material flow in order to identify efficiency losses and implement optimizations. Furthermore, by representing the entire value creation process in a standardized drawing, transparency for the company is increased and the identification of value-adding and non-value-adding activities is facilitated.
