A 10-Year-Old Girl with Visual Impairment
摘要
Children and adolescents with chronic inflammatory eye diseases are often without symptoms—this often makes an early diagnosis of juvenile uveitis difficult. Therefore, screening for ocular involvement in associated diseases such as JIA is the basic prerequisite for early diagnosis. The prognosis of uveitis strongly depends on the time of diagnosis, specific guidelines for the treatment of this disease, as well as screening for manifest JIA are published and generally offer good chances for achieving remission.
