Specific hypovitaminoses can also mimic the picture of classic rheumatological diseases. A vitamin deficiency can thus clinically resemble vasculitis and is often associated with corresponding skin abnormalities, tendency to bleed, joint swelling and effusions. The importance of a good medical history is once again emphasized here, which includes, especially in risk groups, the diet.
