From a rheumatological perspective, anti-inflammatory concepts play a role, especially in view of circulatory disorders of the femoral head caused by inflammatory changes in the area of the joint capsule and the femoral head artery. The differential diagnosis of monoarthritis is thus broad and should always be assessed interdisciplinarily, in the case of Morbus Perthes by pediatric orthopedics and pediatric rheumatology.
