摘要

The Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor-Associated Periodic Syndrome (TRAPS) is one of the genetically determined periodic fever syndromes, it is inherited in an autosomal dominant manner and is caused by various mutations in the TNFRSF1A-gene. Characteristic for TRAPS are recurring fever episodes, migratory myalgias, exanthemas, conjunctivitis, and abdominal pain. Modern molecular biological methods, specifically an autoinflammation panel based on next-generation sequencing technology, are helpful in achieving a precise genetic definition from the complex field of unclear chronic symptoms.
