When the Infant Doesn’t Thrive Because He has a Fever
摘要
The investigation of failure to thrive in infancy and childhood is one of the classic tasks of the pediatrician. A variety of causes come into differential diagnosis, which require precise evaluation, including metabolic disorders, neuropediatric diseases, immunological-rheumatological diseases, or even social problems. The child presented here—unsurprisingly—comes from pediatric rheumatology and shows us that even infants can clinically manifest classic autoinflammatory diseases.
