Online Data
摘要
With the advent of digitization, an increasing amount of sports science-relevant data is becoming available as online data. Online data essentially consists of text data published on the World Wide Web (WWW) covering various topics. Through web scraping, these online data can be automatically extracted, copied, stored, and reused, thereby facilitating their use in scientific research. This article introduces the concept of web scraping and illustrates, through examples, how it has been used to generate new insights in the field of sports science.
