Process Mining

This section presents Process Mining as an analysis tool with a very interdisciplinary application field. Process Mining makes use of execution logs, a collection of events happening in a system of any kind. This process could be the procedures a patient has to do in a hospital or the actions leading to a goal in a soccer game. Process Mining aims to discover, monitor and improve the existing process and provide an evaluation of the data-driven observed behaviour and the theoretical definition of the processes. Process mining appears to be suitable for sports analysis for sequence analysis, tactics and players’ contributions.
