Simulation of Physiological Adaptation Processes

摘要

In many settings, sports training aims to increase athletic performance and thus athletic performance or to counteract a decline in performance. In this context, physical stress initially leads to an individual strain on the biological systems involved in the movement, which in turn leads to an increase in physiological functional capacity with repeated stress. To be able to give indications for training design on the part of science, physiological adaptation processes are increasingly examined individually via meta-models. The relationships between load and stress on the one hand and between stress and changes in performance, on the other hand, are modeled and simulated with the help of informatic approaches. Currently, mainly antagonistic models are used, in which it is assumed on physiological grounds that physical stress triggers both negative, i.e. performance-degrading, and performance-enhancing processes. The current state can then be represented as a ratio of negative and positive components.
