Friction is a force that hinders the movement of bodies, slowing them down. It arises upon contact of real bodies sliding along each other. fWe describe friction as a force that opposes the motion of a body, or opposes potential motion if the body is at rest. We discuss different forms of friction, static friction, kinetic friction, and rolling friction, and show how the resulting frictional forces can be parameterized.

摘要

Friction is a force that hinders the movement of bodies, slowing them down. It arises upon contact of real bodies sliding along each other. fWe describe friction as a force that opposes the motion of a body, or opposes potential motion if the body is at rest. We discuss different forms of friction, static friction, kinetic friction, and rolling friction, and show how the resulting frictional forces can be parameterized.
