We have based our considerations on Newton’s axioms. We have learned that they only apply in inertial systems. In fact, we can understand Newton's first axiom as a definition of the inertial frames. In this chapter, we will look at extending Newton's axioms to non-inertial frames. In doing so, we will be forced to introduce fictious force as a remnant of the acceleration of those reference system. The most important of these fictious forces will be discussed.

摘要

We have based our considerations on Newton’s axioms. We have learned that they only apply in inertial systems. In fact, we can understand Newton's first axiom as a definition of the inertial frames. In this chapter, we will look at extending Newton's axioms to non-inertial frames. In doing so, we will be forced to introduce fictious force as a remnant of the acceleration of those reference system. The most important of these fictious forces will be discussed.
