The Modules of the GSE Procedural Concept—Mastering Complexity Using Simple Rules
摘要
The chapter “The Modules of the GSE—…” is dedicated to the derivation and explanation of the modular approach, which realizes individual problem solutions across disciplines. In doing so, the GSE approach applies the principles of systematic action and shows simple rules for managing complexity. Four modules are introduced: the goal formation module, the analysis module, the design module, and the project management module. The latter is dedicated to both traditional and agile project management. For each module, various methods of engineering are introduced and combined. The modules themselves are also combined along the problem solution of the examples already used in Chap. 4, depending on the needs of the project team and the respective goals to be achieved. It is also illustrated how the modules and individual methods use input from the GSE thinking model or how the achieved output is reintegrated into the GSE thinking model, to always provide the project teams with an up-to-date data or information base.
