Infectious Diseases
摘要
In this chapter we present selected infectious diseases that are commonly encountered in clinical practice and are either caused by bacteria, fungi or viruses. The human body is susceptible to infection by microorganisms, and a variety of organ systems may be involved. The following selected pathologies represent a review of some typical examples of viral, bacterial, and fungal infections, including histopathologic findings and the typical immune response seen within the affected tissues.
