Spiritual Care durch Seelsorge

Im November 2020 hat die Ständige Konferenz für Seelsorge in der EKD im Auftrag des Rates der EKD eine kleine Schrift zur Verhältnisbestimmung von Klinikseelsorge und Spiritual Care veröffentlicht. Dies war das erste mal, dass sich die EKD offiziell zu dem Thema äußerte. Im Rahmen dieses Sammelbandes soll der Versuch unternommen werden, die Grundanliegen der EKD-Schrift hinsichtlich ihrer Potenziale zu befragen und Entwicklungs- beziehungsweise Klärungserfordernisse anzufügen, die in den Blick getreten sind. Angesichts dieses „Blickes nach vorn“ wird darauf verzichtet, die Positionierung der EKD-Schrift forschungsgenetisch zu rekonstruieren. Wenn also das Grundanliegen weitergetrieben wird, dann geschieht dies, indem spezifische Perspektiven eingebracht werden: Das sind diejenige eines auf EKD-Ebene mit der Gestaltung von poimenischen Organisationsbedingungen Befassten und die einer landeskirchlich Verantwortlichen für Klinikseelsorge. In November 2020, the Standing Conference for Pastoral Care in the EKD (Union of German Protestant Churches) published on behalf of the EKD Council a small document determining the relationship between clinical Pastoral Care and Spiritual Care. This was the very first time, the EKD officially contributed to the subject. In the context of this anthology, we are trying to contribute to questions relating to the basic concerns of the EKD document with regard to their potentials; additionally development or clarification requirements that have come to our attention. Considering the aspect of “looking ahead”, we refrain from reconstructing the EKD’s positioning paper from a research point of view. In progressing the basic concern, both authors contribute their own specific perspectives. One is from the perspective of an EKD developer of poimenic organizational conditions and the other of a person responsible for pastoral care within a national Church.
