Grundzüge des SpECi-Projektantrages

Das von der Stiftung Wohlfahrtspflege NRW geförderte Projekt hat das Ziel, die Lebens-/Sterbequalität sowie die Krankheitsbearbeitung von Patient:innen/Bewohner:innen in der letzten Lebensphase durch in Spiritual Care qualifizierte Mitarbeiter:innen in den jeweiligen Einrichtungen zu verbessern. Diese werden mithilfe des 40-stündigen Curriculums „Spiritual/Existential Care interprofessionell“ (SpECi) geschult, das im gesamten Gesundheitswesen in der Begleitung und Unterstützung geriatrisch und palliativ zu betreuender Menschen Anwendung finden kann. Die Auswirkungen dieser Intervention werden auf Seiten der begleiteten Patient:innen bzw. Bewohner:innen und ihrer Angehörigen erfasst, aber auch auf Seiten der Geschulten, die als Multiplikator:innen angesehen werden. Die Realisierung des Projektes und der Nachweis einer positiven Wirkung auf Betreute und ihre Angehörigen bzw. ihre Institutionen können in unterschiedlicher Weise nachhaltig für das gesamte Gesundheitssystem wirken. The project, which is funded by the Stiftung Wohlfahrtspflege NRW, aims to improve the quality of life and death and dealing with illness of patients/residents in the last phase of life by employees qualified in Spiritual Care in their respective facilities. The employees are trained with a 40-hour curriculum „Spiritual/Existential Care interprofessional“ (SpECi), which can be used in the entire health care system to accompany and support people who require geriatric and palliative care. The effects of the intervention were assessed within the group of patients or residents and their relatives, but also within the group of trained people, who are regarded as multipliers. The realization of the project and the evidence of a positive effect both on those being cared for and their relatives as well as on those caring for them and their facilities can have a lasting effect on the entire health system in different ways.
