Geistesgegenwärtig begleiten – Spiritual/Existential Care in der Behindertenhilfe

Spiritual Care ist anschlussfähig an die Arbeit der Behindertenhilfe. Der Ansatz gemeinsamer Sorge und individueller Teilnahme ermöglicht es der Behindertenhilfe, ausgehend vom christlichen Menschenbild und im Kontext der Wahrnehmung gleichberechtigter Teilhabe im Blick auf das eigene Handeln neue Perspektiven zu eröffnen. Es vollzieht sich im Miteinander zwischen Mitarbeitenden und Klienten, im Sozialraum, im seelsorglichen Handeln und in der Übertragung auf Inklusion innerhalb gesellschaftlicher Prozesse. Spiritual care can be connected to the work with disabled people. The approach of joint care and individual participation, as equals, enables services and supports for people with disabilities with Christian values and in the context of exercising equal participation to open up new perspectives in the view of the disabled individuals’ own actions. It occurs between employees and clients, in social spaces, in the time of pastoral action and in the transfer to inclusion within social processes.
