Use of Modern Media in Prevention and Treatment
摘要
In addition to conventional therapeutic approaches, the use of information and communication technologies (“E-mental health”) has been proposed in recent years for the prevention and treatment of eating disorders. Digital interventions promise to improve the reach, accessibility, and availability of support services. Promising initial evaluation results have been reported for a number of interventions regarding their practicability, acceptance, and effectiveness. However, further studies are needed to strengthen the evidence base and to clarify how digital offerings and conventional care services can be combined in a practical, effective, and efficient manner.
