Probability and Random Experiments

  • Stefan Bracke

摘要

The basics of probability and probability theory in the context of single- and multi-stage random experiments as well as various application examples form the core of this chapter. Within the framework of Sect. 5.1, terms, connections, axioms as well as visualizations on the topic of probability are explained. The focus of Sect. 5.2 is on pobabilistics, first presented fundamentally for the simple case of two events. Subsequently, multistage random experiments are discussed, focusing on event trees, total probability and Bayes’ theorem.
