Basics of Dynamics

In dynamics, the interaction between forces and motions is examined. The kinetic quantities linear momentum and angular momentum, as well as the linear and angular momentum laws, are first introduced in general terms and then specialized to the rigid body, with the properties of the inertia tensor being discussed. Furthermore, the concepts of work and energy and the work-energy theorem based on them are introduced. To illustrate the physical effects of rotating rigid bodies, the force actions of a rotor with a fixed rotation axis and some phenomena of gyro dynamics are discussed.
