Me and No Mask: Unmaskings

A particularly beautifully staged resolution of a mask puzzle can be found on the cover of the September 2002 issue of the German-speaking Metal Hammer (see Fig. 6). In the middle, in the foreground at the lower edge of the image, the Slipknot logo appears in a poisonous green, almost like a title image. The emblematic character is typical for the communication of such magazine covers, here additionally reinforced by the interplay with the man behind it, whose black T-shirt serves as a canvas for the logo.
