Basics of Pneumatic Conveying

In Chapter 4, the conveying state diagram of a pneumatic conveying system and the flow patterns that occur in a pneumatic conveying pipe, as well as their dependence on the properties of the conveyed bulk material, are first presented. A discussion of the calculation bases required for system dimensioning, i.e., the pressure losses and the required conveying gas velocities, and suggestions for system design follow. The relationships are illustrated using extensive measurement results.
