Sludge Analysis with Regard to Belt Drying and Exhaust Air Treatment

As sludge from different wastewater treatment plants always show different quality features, tests and chemical analysis have to be made to clarify drying time and drying behavior with regard to liability to sticking, case hardening or transfer of volatile gas components to exhaust air. Therefore, wet chemical analysis, extruding and drying tests as well as gaschromatography in combination with mass spectroscopy are executed. All these tests and analysis and their evaluation are described for a digested sludge.
