As much as many countries in the world are struggling with the problem of juvenile delinquency, Botswana is not an exception in this regard as highlighted by several scholars, see Letamo et al. (2016) and Riva et al. (2018). Botswana has struggled with the problem of juvenile delinquency since obtaining independence in 1966 (Otlhogile, 1985), and the same applies to violence in schools (Matsoga, 2003). This is also confirmed by the number of increasing cases of juvenile delinquency and violence countrywide.
