As mentioned in the thesis overview in Sect. 2.3, two pertinent research questions emerged in the assessment development process and the thesis. The first research question was regarding the generalizability of the newly developed assessment instruments for assessing “selecting dLMs” (see Sect. 7.4) and “selecting dTs” (see Sect. 7.6), and the second research question emerged with the freely public availability of large language AI models, i.e., ChatGPT (Livberber & Ayvaz, 2023) toward the end of 2022. The latter raised the question whether such systems would undermine the assessment character for unsupervised assessments of the newly developed instrument for assessing “selecting dLMs”.

摘要
