The past pages have presented the epistemological and methodological approach of this research, which aims to avoid the risk of dualisms while interrogating the phenomenon of ecological practice. The path through dependence has been undertaken through ethnographical research in a specific Chilote community in search of hints for a theoretical approach to the topic. In the following, a general view of the studied village is offered, including some spatial and historical coordinates, the forms of sociability and institutionality, and the ecological transformation it has suffered in the last decades and the practice towards the nonhuman world.
