As already stated in chapter 1, most manufacturing processes that are carried out with lasers involve the conversion of the electromagnetic radiation energy incident on the workpiece into heat. The efficiency of laser-based materials processing therefore essentially depends on the percentage of the beam’s energy which is absorbed. The energy deposition, i.e. the conversion of irradiated laser energy into process heat, therefore plays a central role in laser-based materials processing.

摘要

As already stated in chapter 1, most manufacturing processes that are carried out with lasers involve the conversion of the electromagnetic radiation energy incident on the workpiece into heat. The efficiency of laser-based materials processing therefore essentially depends on the percentage of the beam’s energy which is absorbed. The energy deposition, i.e. the conversion of irradiated laser energy into process heat, therefore plays a central role in laser-based materials processing.
