The Electric Power Generation and Storage (EPGS) system serves as an essential component in vehicles, primarily comprising a power storage unit (battery), a power generation unit (alternator), and various electrical consumers devices that can collectively be represented as total electric load. Figure 2.1 illustrates a schematic diagram of EPGS. This diagram demonstrates that the rotational speed is delivered by Internal Combustion Engine (ICE), while the alternator generates electricity to supply the various loads and electronics.
