This chapter concludes the book by returning to the initial anecdote of Vanessa Nakate being removed from a press photograph and contrasting it with her central position in communication networks as shown by the empirical findings. It argues that meta-discourses about inequality of voice can themselves alter structures of voice and visibility, while also showing that these structures ultimately reflect power relations in the global political sphere.
