Museum and (Heritage) Space
摘要
As has been presented in the previous chapter, museums served not only as spaces of objects but also as spaces of social encounters and interactions which could be challenged by people of minority groups. While sociability and the social aspect motivated some people to volunteer and engage with the museum, providing positive feelings, acquiring skills and building social networks, this did not apply equally to everyone. The problems around engaging people from underrepresented communities remained a common problem in the engagement work.
