We examine various measures of association between two variables. We create a cross-tabulation and apply the Chi-square test to investigate the relationship between categorical variables. We also learn to compute and interpret Spearman’s rho and Kendall’s tau for ordinal variables and the Pearson correlation for numerical variables. In addition, we learn how to create bivariate plots with ggplot2 to visualise relationships.
