Approaches to critical technical practice and critical making are not new, but remain open and shapeable. This literature review will build on the existing work of researchers like Ratto and Hertz and their interest in which methodological tools and theoretical arguments are relevant to critical making. In this interdisciplinary study, I build on relevant socio-technical theories by foremost considering their empirical, real-world applications and implications.
