The aim of this article is to describe the current collaboration between security authorities and civil society organizations in deradicalization and disengagement work, while also offering insights into potential future developments. It provides a brief overview of recent trends in extremism prevention, and examines the roles of both security authorities and civil society counseling organizations. Alongside this overview, the roles of security authorities and civil society counseling organizations are explored. The professional viewpoints of both are compared, and examples of counseling sessions are assessed, especially in contexts involving coercion.
