Physical Activity and Play with Traumatized Children and Adolescents
摘要
Children and adolescents are particularly affected by the experience of trauma. Trauma-informed physical activity programs counteract these impairments by promoting a sense of safety, reducing anxiety and stress responses, and strengthening self-regulation skills. The foundation of trauma-informed programs is the creation of a safe environment, trustful interactions, and a consistent focus on resources. This article provides knowledge about the effects of trauma, the impact of body-centered interventions, and practical approaches for implementation.
