I-Voting and Electoral Integrity
摘要
After having analyzed the influence of conspiracy beliefs on perceptions of electoral integrity, this chapter now turns to the second challenge introduced in Chap. 23, namely attitudes toward the potential introduction of i-voting to political elections in Germany. I-voting is a subset of e-voting, which is a collective term for voting modes that are supported by Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). Usually, democracies provide citizens with paper-based procedures to cast their vote, either in person at a polling station or sometimes also using postal ballots.
