In response to the aforementioned problem statement and research gaps, the research questions have been formulated in accordance with the CIMO Scheme, developed by Briner and Denyer to establish clearly defined, answerable research questions in economics. This dissertation takes an interpretivist approach, emphasising participants’ subjective understanding and acknowledging the influence of cultural and social contexts on their experiences. The results of the research could help ease persistent gender gap issues and gender conflict among younger generations, which is vital for South Korea to sustain its impressive economic performance, given that the country is suffering from a shortage of skilled workers due to demographic change and falling marriage and birth rates.
