This article discusses the issue of sexualised discrimination and violence as a specific form of gender-based violence in the context of universities and academia. Based on our own empirical studies, we focus on both the experiences of academics with sexual harassment, discrimination and violence, and the question of what preventative and protective measures universities are taking. The article concludes with recommendations for action to establish a low-discriminatory university culture.
