This chapter presents a phase model, which has been designed based on the empirical results of the present study. It represents the individual phases of the communication process within situation briefings in civil and disaster protection staffs, including the relevant communication patterns. Furthermore, the empirical findings are theoretically reflected against the background of existing literature, and finally, design recommendations are derived.
