The celebration of the worship service is a multi-layered staging. Here, what is essentially invisible is intended to become visible, and what is usually thought of as transcendent is meant to be experienced. The liturgical staging is multi-layered also because it is here that God’s presence is celebrated and prayed for, yet this presence eludes human efforts despite all endeavors.
