As an ontological basis for a deeper engagement with contradictions, the present work refers to the so-called object-oriented ontology, which is linked with a sensemaking perspective according to Karl Weick. Object-oriented ontology (OOO) is a newer philosophical current that rediscovers and further develops positions of realism (Harman, 2017; 2018). Following this approach, contradiction constellations are viewed as social phenomena that are more than the sum of their elements, that is, more than the sum of the interests and expectations of the contradicting parties and recipients, and at the same time more than the effects they have on the actors and their relations to each other. This allows contradiction constellations to be placed at the center of consideration as independent social phenomena.

摘要
