The research design of this study is a confirmatory design which uses different methods to test the hypotheses at hand. The empirical base is a newly collected prosopographical GFC dataset which mainly contains data from document analyses. For the testing of H1, H2, and H4, different methods such as descriptive confirmations or the comparison of groups are used.
