The focus of this chapter is on the types and contents of criticism of capitalism. There, we will find individual points of criticism such as exploitation, greed for profit, alienation, and inequality, etc. Furthermore, the respective different perspectives, as they prevail in feminist, neo-Marxist, or ecologically oriented criticism of capitalism, are explained. Based on this overview of critical voices on capitalism, which is not limited to the German-speaking area, we will then be able to understand the backgrounds of these admonishing voices.
