This review aims to identify studies that provide information about the effectiveness of interventions used to foster children’s language skills (first language or German) in ECEC institutional settings in Germany. Since the quality of conclusions regarding the effectiveness of interventions is influenced by the quality of the available studies, only those cases—31 in all—which report at least one child outcome (see criteria for inclusion described in Sect. 3.2 ) and show at least medium overall weight of evidence (WoE) are assessed in this chapter.
