This chapter describes and analyses the EU migration-development nexus. From a theoretical perspective, the chapter will show that the EU migration-development nexus, across the thirty years of its existence, displayed only minor policy change and that the nexus represents a cross-sectoral policy subsystem in the European Union. The chapter will also analyse the nexus funding.
