The path to becoming a professional financial coach requires a solid coach training. An example is the 18-month FCM Finanz Coach® training program, which includes various modules on coaching, risk tolerance, and money consciousness. A key focus is also on the development of a professional coaching attitude. It concludes with a certificate of completion. The 8 core competencies of coaching, as defined by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), provide guidance for professional coaching. These competencies include ethical principles, clear attitude and agreements, trust-building, presence, active listening, awareness-raising, and supporting the client’s development. Six financial coaches present their path, their values, and their methodology.
