In this concluding chapter, we look back once again at the multitude of approaches that are summarized under the term heterodox economics. It has been shown that this categorization is problematic on the one hand, and on the other hand, a consistent formulation of an alternative paradigm to the dominant mainstream economics is hardly to be expected. The characteristic of heterodoxy is therefore its plurality, not its internal coherence.
