In the fifth chapter, the findings from archival research on conservative journals are analyzed to explore the agendas and debates among conservative intellectuals. Together with the preceding chapter, this analysis reveals the dominant hegemonic ideas and examines how conservative thinkers engage with and align themselves with these ideas. Rather than presenting a history of ideas, the focus is on investigating the emergence of hegemonic ideologies and their connection to structural transformations and power dynamics.
