Wildnis/Wildness/Wilderness—Experience and Education
摘要
A new understanding of wilderness has been influencing the German concept of nature and landscape for about 40 years. Wilderness education has been discussed in the context of nature and environmental education for about 30 years. In this context, references to the American concept of Wilderness and American experiences play an important role. The question is whether and to what extent the newly inspired understanding of wilderness in Central Europe leads to a new certainty about nature, in which traditional concepts of nature are supplemented and replaced by wilderness-typical, dynamically shaped ones, and lead to large-scale implementation in nature and landscape, accompanied by tolerance. This is because there is a lack of sufficiently large, undeveloped wilderness areas where undisturbed, permanently given solitude (Solitude) repeatedly allows nature-without-us-within-us-experiences that contribute to a reflection on environmental responsibility that goes beyond human society.
