As a result of transnational mobility, German society has increasingly transformed into a linguistically, religiously, and ethnically heterogeneous society since World War II due to a multitude of immigration phases—labor migration, forced migration, and voluntary migration. In this context, against the backdrop of the integration debate, the inclusion and participation of newly immigrated young people in the education system or labor market as part of the transformation process change of the working society (cf. German Society for Social Work 2019) is gaining importance. This increasingly heterogeneous society has been shaped and challenged in recent years particularly by two developments: firstly, by the strong and sudden increase in forced  migration to Europe and Germany since 2015, particularly from the civil war countries Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan, and secondly, by the rapidly spreading Corona pandemic in Europe since the beginning of 2020, with over 100,000 deaths in Germany alone by the end of 2021.
