Enabling Cross-Cultural Knowledge Sharing by Applying Cross-Cultural Competencies: Metacognitive CQ as Key Driver
摘要
Even though little empirical research is focusing on CQ and its dimensions that improve cross-cultural KS in global project teams (Chen and Lin, 2013; Eisenberg and Mattarelli, 2017; Presbitero and Attar, 2018; Tsai et al., 2014; Tsai et al., 2017; Vlajčić et al., 2019), in the literature study of this dissertation evidence is found that culture and knowledge are strictly interrelated (Ardichvili et al., 2006; Bender and Fish, 2000; Kanzler, 2010; Del Giudice, 2012; Holden et al., 2015; Maimone, 2018; Presbitero and Attar, 2018). Further, it becomes clear that cultural diversity influences KS, as elaborated in-depth in Chap. 3 (Sect. 3.4). Although some of the literature investigated how cultural differences can be a hurdle for KS (Ajmal and Koskinen, 2008; Almeida and Soares, 2014; Riege, 2005; Smits, 2013; Toni and Pessot, 2021), it is important to note that cultural diversity can also offer great potential for enhancing the quality of knowledge creation (Maimone, 2018) and global innovation (Jensen, 2015; Livermore and Ang, 2016).
